Fairfield Inn & Suites Rock Hill Goes Platinum

The 2019 Marriott Select Brands GM Conference was an exciting adventure for all who attended in Chicago at the beginning of April. For Strand, it was the largest group we have ever sent to the GM Conference as our Marriott portfolio continues to grow and prosper. For our Fairfield Inn and Suites Rock Hill it was an event they will never forget as they were honored to be the first Strand Hospitality hotel to have the honor of receiving the Platinum Circle Award. For 2018 they were ranked 34th out of over 950 Fairfield by Marriott hotels, which is a huge accomplishment. Dianne Heuvelmans, GM of the Fairfield Inn and Suites Rock Hill, was honored to receive the award on behalf of her team at this year's event. "The team has truly worked hard through good times, bad times, made mistakes, learned from them and persevered through it all," said Heuvelmans, "our sights were never set on the award, our goal has always been to take care of guests one by one, day after day and to do the right thing." For her team it means their hard work has paid off and are able to have a more prosperous hotel because of the excellence they have strove for. They were ecstatic to receive recognition for the quality work they put in day in and day out. It was only a few short years ago Strand made the first steps in a concentrated effort to grow our relationship with Marriott and this shows the commitment we have towards strengthening that relationship and continuing to put out quality Marriott branded hotels for years to come.
